Lucas flasher unit, 42w (2x 21w), typically found on U.S. market cars without front wing mounted repeater lamps fitted.This item has provision for both screw terminal and slide-on type cable connections. The screw terminal connections are somewhat fiddly, it may be easier to make the cable connections with the flasher mounting bracket unscrewed and loose from the car body. The 3 terminals are marked L (flasher signal out), P warning lamp feed) and X (power in). According to Lucas, the manufacturer, this item can be used on both +ve & -ve earth (ground) systems "straight out of the box".
 
NOTE THAT THIS ITEM IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR THE OPERATION OF CONVENTIONAL FILAMENT TYPE BULBS AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR OPERATING L.E.D. TYPE REPLACEMENT BULBS.
