There are Giulietta front limiting cables, and there are AlfaStop Giulietta front limiting cables... Exclusively made in England by a long established wire cables manufacturer to AlfaStop's specification. These AlfaStop limit cables are made in Stainless Steel (INOX) throughout with a reinforced upper fixing stud. Development cables were tested to 3,000lbs (1364kgs) without failure. Every production cable assembly is individually tested by the manufacturer to a proof load of 1000lbs (455kgs).

Suitable for both the early cars with the cable attached to the wishbone (control arm) & for the later cars with the cable attached to the spring pan. Original limit cables usually failed due to corrosion of the wires near to the bottom fixing. Despite being sheathed in plastic, over the years the plastic cracked and allowed water to penetrate into the layers of the wire. Result? Corrosion and failure. The front suspension limiting cable prevents the load of the front spring being applied to the shock absorber when the wheel is in the air, such as when the car is raised in the workshop or is airborne when it is being being driven exuberantly. It is also thought by many Giulietta cognoscenti that a failed limiting cable could result in the distortion or bending of the taper pin of the upper ball joint relative to the centreline or axis of the ball. Note that 2x cables are required for 1x car.
