This alternative light has a plastic slide switch instead of the toggle lever on the original light.
The lens and chrome frame snap on, an advantage over the small fiddly retaining screws of the original light, especially in the under-bonnet location.
Underside dimensions 84mm x 35mm.
Complete with a conventional festoon bulb.
The chrome finish on some examples leaves a little to be desired, as shown in the photo...

Earthing of electrical components
Alfa Romeo seem to have intended that the earthing of some electrical components would be via the screws which attach the component to the car body.
It is good practice to provide a separate earth connection, at least to the car body.
There are occasions when Alfa Romeo really seemed to pushing their luck, such as in the case of the Sprint under bonnet light. In this case the lamp is earthed via an aluminium strip which supports the under bonnet blanket. This strip is merely in contact with the bonnet frame, which is connected to the car body by two pins which are probably well greased...
